There are a lot of protein supplement products out there that people promote for people that want to have a healthy diet. While it is a great idea to have a good source of protein with every meal there are some ways that people take protein that are portrayed as the best solution while they actually aren’t very effective.
Have you ever purchased protein powder before? You know the huge scoop it comes with that you use to put the protein into a shake to drink either between meals or before and after a workout. Well, It turns out that drinking protein drinks are the least effective way for the body to absorb protein.
When your body processes a liquid like a protein shake it processes the drink so quickly that most of the nutrients are lost because of the rate at which passes through the digestive system. On the other hand if you eat a solid food like fish, Chicken or other high protein foods. Then the body has to breakdown the food and during that process it takes the protein and other nutrients and gives them to which ever area of the body needs it the most.
For people that workout a lot it is actually better for them to eat high protein foods like maybe a Greek yogurt or a piece of chick before and after their workout routine to make sure that their body has what it needs to repair any damaged muscle fibers.
While I do not like most of the protein breakfast bars. It can be a good way to consume protein in such a way that the body does not expel it from the body. In addition to protein it is also a good idea to have a good source of fiber in your diet to keep your digestive system in good health and to aid your body when digesting stubborn fats and carbs.
